The Martin Cosgrif Memorial Bursary Award
Martin Cosgrif was a much loved performing arts teacher who transformed many young lives in his work at Accrington and Rossendale College.
When Martin passed away from Covid in 2020, his friends and family set up a fundraising page to create a bursary in his memory, wanting to honour his legacy by enabling a young person from a disadvantaged background in the North West of England to attend drama school.
Thanks to this award in fond memory of Martin, NYAT is looking for applications from young people from low income backgrounds in the North West of England who are in need of support to attend an accredited drama school or conservatoire. This award can be used to help with shortfalls of drama school tuition fees, travel, and books & resources, or other financial barriers.
We open applications for bursaries several times a year, and the next deadline is to be confirmed. If you apply after this, we’ll consider your application in the next round. Sign up to our newsletter and we’ll keep you posted about future deadlines.
Before you apply: check the criteria and documents you need…

With huge thanks to the family & friends of Martin Cosgrif for their support in his honour.
