Drama bursaries

Our “Access Bursaries” could help fund your drama school audition recalls, drama school tuition fees or drama lessons.

We offer means-tested bursaries of up to £1,000 for audition recalls or tuition fees at

Unfortunately we don’t accept applications for first-time auditions.

You can also apply to cover the costs of travel to and from class, books and other educational materials or part time drama classes.

The “Olibob” Awards

The “Olibob Awards” are for young people in recognition of inclusivity, encouragement, kindness, and support of others in drama or music groups.

The Richard Beaumont Bursary

Richard – or Ricky to his family, friends, and students – had a passion for the Arts. In his memory, Richard’s family have chosen to support NYAT’s bursary scheme by setting up The Richard Beaumont bursary, to help young people from low-income households pay for their performing arts education, so they too can reach for the stars and follow their dreams.

The Martin Cosgrif Memorial Bursary Award

Martin Cosgrif was a much loved performing arts teacher who transformed many young lives in his work at Accrington and Rossendale College.

Dance bursaries

If you are learning to dance, and struggling to afford the tuition, we may be able to help.

Music bursaries

If you learn an instrument or sing, we may be able to fund your lessons.
