Hull Youth Theatre
An engaging youth theatre project especially for 11-19 year olds in Hull
The FREE youth theatre workshops run every week, and you will:
- learn high quality theatre skills taught by in-house and visiting experts
- visit local theatres on our free trips
- get to know people and form a community you’ll love to be a part of
The youth theatre exists to unearth emerging local talent, make bold and exciting work, give a chance for young people’s voices to be heard, encourage members to develop a lifelong passion for the performing arts, and to offer a practical and realistic springboard to further education, including a potential theatrical career.

What participants think
“NYAT has been a massive support, inspiration and aid for me in getting to be where I am now. Through watching the youth theatre leaders and their support in allowing me to lead work on my own meant I knew I wanted to go into applied theatre. I can never express how grateful I am not only for that, but for the financial help they have given me. Getting into drama school is a huge thing for a girl from Hull, and NYAT made me going to the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts a dream I could access. Thank you for everything!”
