Bursary applications

This news story is from 18 October 2018.

Unfortunately due to a higher than normal influx of bursary applications we are having to temporarily pause bursary applications. Please check this page for updates on when applications are open again. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Need funding for your performing arts lessons?

NYAT bursaries are granted to young people aged 12 to 25 who are unable to access opportunities in the arts due to their financial circumstances.

We provide bursaries for music lessons, dance classes and drama school (recall) audition and tuition fees to those who cannot afford to fund themselves.

The next deadline for bursary applications is tbc.

You’ll need to complete the online form and upload your supporting documents.

Find out more about the criteria you need to meet for funding.

“At drama school I have been challenged and inspired like never before. Without support from the NYAT, it would have been impossible for me to have taken up this incredible opportunity and be living my dream.”

“Since I can remember I’ve had a passion for music. My parents could not keep on affording the increasing costs of my tuition, so we applied for an NYAT bursary. If I hadn’t had your help this year I wouldn’t have been able to carry on with my music. I’m very grateful as it’s very important to me and my future. Thank you.”
