We have a second online youth theatre workshop with actress and writer Rosa Hesmondhalgh on Monday 18^th at 3.30pm – discussing music and storytelling – more info to follow this week. So lovely to see many of you this week talking about telling your own stories.

Beautiful Thing: this week’s play screening

Growing up on a South East London estate has not encouraged Jamie to be open about his sexuality, either with his preoccupied and fanciful mother, Sandra, or his crush, Ste. As their relationship begins to blossom in the midst of a world of drugs, dealing and denial, this penetrating drama explores what it means to strive for an identity on the fringes of society and its acceptance.

• For all you singers in the group, take part in a national performance by the BBC
• The National Theatre are screening a different play every Thursday. This week is Anthony & Cleopatra, with Ralph Fiennes and Sophie Okonedo – plus they have a monthly theatre quiz we can all join in with, alongside some famous faces!
• Andrew Lloyd Webber is sharing his musicals online with The Show Must Go On – one every Friday for 48 hours
• Moving drama by Duncan Macmillan, with Jonny Donahoe: Every Brilliant Thing
