NYAT Felicity Belfield Scholarship

NYAT Felicity Belfield Scholarship is a targeted bursary support for young dance students facing financial hardship for dance courses. Felicity Belfield was a Dance teacher with a love for the Arts. She taught Ballet for many years at her successful dance school overlooking the Chalke Valley in Dorset.

In 1963 Felicity set up the “Felicity Belfield Scholarship” to support talented young dancers further their dance studies. Later, Felicity also set up a music trust to help young musicians.

Over the years, many students have benefitted from the Dance Scholarship and Music Trust. For this Felicity was awarded the MBE in 2016 for services supporting young musicians and dancers.

The Trustees of the Felicity Belfield Scholarship, in collaboration with NYAT, are proud to continue to support aspiring dancers in Felicity’s name.
