“Really challenging trying to train and afford to live while at college”

Gracie Nixon, an NYAT Dance Bursary Holder in 2024: “I wanted to thank NYAT so much for my dance bursary which helped me in my year at Laine Theatre Arts. Your support really did make a difference. It is really challenging trying to train and afford to live while at college so the financial help you gave me allowed me to get the shoes and extra costume bits I needed for our end of year show.

Highlights of this year were; training with the amazing Laine faculty including Matt Cole,  performing at a Christmas performance at the Royal Albert Hall, a catwalk experience for L’Oréal, and I was honoured to be cast in some wonderful pieces in the Summer show and chosen to be in the final 10 of the opening of the finalé!

Once again I appreciate your support.”
